Supine lumbar and thoracic side flexion DA – seaweeding from scapular
You will need an assistant for this exercise.
Lie on your back with a noodle under your hips and a buoyancy collar around your neck.
Relax into the water, keeping your body flat.
Ask your assistant to stand behind your head with each of their hands under your shoulder blades.
Your assistant will then walk backwards whilst gently pulling you through the water from side to side.
This allows the water to stretch your spine.
Required equipment: Assistant, Buoyancy collar, Float - noodle
