Shoulder flexion with assisted lift and active lowering phase - seated in inclined position

Sit on the edge of a chair and lean back to the backrest so that your upper body is tilted backwards approximately 45 degrees.
To avoid slipping on the floor ensure you have a stable base through your feet and that your chair is secure.
You can place cushions behind your back for comfort, if needed.
Start with your arm on your belly, elbow slightly bent, and hold the wrist with your other hand.
Helping with your other hand lift your arm up and over your head.
Then let go of your wrist and in a controlled manner lower your arm back to the starting position.
