Shoulder abduction to 90 in sitting - short lever

Sit upright in a chair with your hands relaxed by your sides.
Bend your elbow so that your hand is close to your shoulder.
Slowly lift your weaker arm out to your side, keeping your elbow bent.
Hold your arm at 90 degrees, before slowly lowering it back to your side.
Ensure your back and neck muscles remain relaxed as you move your arm.
Do not hunch your shoulder during the movement.
