Resisted active cervical rotation in sitting

Resisted active cervical rotation in sitting

Sit up straight in a chair with a resistance band looped around your upper head.
Hold the ends of the resistance band in the hand opposite to the direction you will turn your head.
Hold your hand up to head height and move it back a little.
Gather some tension in the band.
Keeping your hand in the same position, turn your head to look over your shoulder, away from the hand holding the band.
Control the movement as you return to the neutral position.
Ensure you sit up tall with your neck long throughout the exercise.
You should feel the band trying to pull your head back to the neutral position as you turn your head away.
Repeat.
