Isometric combined cervical flexion, extension and rotation muscle activation supine - beginner

Lie on your back with your head resting on a pillow.
Look directly towards the ceiling.
Keeping your head still, move your eyes to look downwards toward your cheek bones whilst imagining lifting your head from the pillow.
Feel a gentle contraction of the muscles in the front of your neck.
Return your eyes to the centre.
Keeping your head still, move your eyes to look up towards your eyebrows whilst imagining pushing your head into the pillow.
Feel a gentle contraction of the muscles in the back of your neck.
Return your eyes to the centre.
Keeping your head still, move your eyes to look towards your left whilst imagining turning your head over your left shoulder.
Feel a gentle contraction of the muscles in the left of your neck.
Return your eyes to the centre and then repeat to your right.
